A. Start the application process bt filling the online application form (pre-enrollment form). Start the application process by filling the online application form (pre-enrollment form).

B. After completing the form application, visit your chosen enrollment center with the form and other necessary documents (original documents) to register your passport application. The application process includes in the following order:

1. Form verification.

2. Revenue payment.

3. Live enrollment (Taking photograph and providing biometric information).

C. Once the passport is ready, you will be notified via email or SMS (within Nepal only).

D. The above-mentioned process is applicable for all passport services, including new applications, renewals, and replacements due to loss, theft, or damage.

Requried documents for E-passport application

A. When applying within Nepal:

1. A copy of the application for with the barcode and QR code received after filling out the form (preferably printed, and if not, digital copy). 2. Original Nepali Citizenship Certificate or original Minor Identity Card. 3. Original current passport/ expired passport (if already a bearer or Nepali Passport). 4. National Identity Card or the National Identity Card number. 5. Bank voucher or cash receipt of the revenur payment.

Additional Documents for Minors

1. Verification of the minoe identity card from the relevant district/ area administration office (district verification). 2. Citizenship of parents/ guardian of the minor applicant 3. Additional documents, if necessary.

B. Requried Documents for Application from Abroad

1. A copy of the application from with the barcode and QR code received after filling out the form (preferably printed, and if not, digital). 2. Original Nepali Citizenship or Minor Identity Card. 3. Original current passport 4. Bank voucher or cash receipt of the revenue payment. 5. Additional documents, if necessary.

Special Provision for first time applications for children born abroad to Nepali parents

1. Copies of Nepali citizenship certificates of both parents of the child. 2. Copies of passports of both parents. 3. Marriage registration certificate of parents. 4. Original birth registration certificate of the child. 5. Two recent passport-size photographs of the child.

After submitting the above documents to the embassy, the embassy will provide the birth registration or temporary registration number. In the passport application form of the minor, the registration number provided by the embassy should be mentioned in place of the citizenship number.
Please note that once a passport has been issued under this provision, obtaining a Minor Identity Card from the relevant District or Area Administration Office in Nepal is mandatory for any future passport renewals.

Additional Documents for Passport Application:

(a). If the date of birth in the citizenship certificate differs from the date of birth in the educational qualificaion certificate and if it is necessary to obtain a passport using the date of birth as per the educational qualificaion, a certificate of educational qualificaion of SLC/SEE or equvalent, or higher level must be provided.

(b). If the date of birth in the citizenship certificate differs from the date of birth in the Indian, British, or Singapore person slip.documents (Pension Patta) and if it is necessayy to obtain a passport using the date of birth as per the person slip, the Indian, British, or Singapore person slip (Discharge Certificates mush be provided).

(c). If a married woman needs to include her husband's surname in addition in addition to the one stated in her citizenship certificate for passport purposes, she must provide the marriage registration certificate and her husband's citizenship certificate.

(c). For divorced woman who have included husband's surname in citizenship or in previous passport and want to exclude husband's surneme in current passport application after divorce,a divorce certificate must be presented.

Passport Application Process:

Procedure of applying for an e-passport:

1. To fill out the online pre-enrollment form for an e-passport, the following steps must be followed:

(a) To apply for a passport for the first time (New) (b) To renew an expired passport (Renewal) (c) To obtain a passport in place of a lost/stolen passport (Replacement - Lost/Stolen) (d) To obtain passport in place of a damaged passport (Damaged)

Fill out all requried details step-by-step in the application form and upload the specified/required documents. Note: When uploading documents, scan the original documents and ensure that the file size is 300 KB or less.
